6.4m x 4.0m Kitchen/Family Room Extension
This extension in Bridgwater was constructed with the NEO wall panels and NEO roof complete with Velux windows. The external walls were finished with Limestone White TC K Rend and the roof with Redland Farm Red tiles.
The extension was built the full width of the house with a 4 meter projection keeping within the permitted planning development.
The original utility room was demolished, traditional foundations and a concrete oversite floor were constructed up to damp proof course. At this point the NEO build system was constructed in one and a half days, enabling internal and external work to progress
The overall build time was 23 days, at this point the extension was complete and ready for the kitchen to be fitted, decorating and floor covering to be laid.
With the use of bifold doors and two Velux windows into the vaulted ceiling, it has created a light and spacious room for all the family to enjoy and perfectly links the house to garden.
5.0m x 3.6m Lounge extension
This extension in Yate, North Bristol was constructed with SIP panel walls and the NEO roof. The external walls were finished with Mink White TC K Rend and the roof with Marley Duo Modern Anthracite tiles.
The extension was built half way across the rear of the house with a 5.0m projection.
The existing conservatory was demolished, traditional foundations and a concrete oversite floor were constructed up to damp proof course. At this point the SIP walls and NEO roof were constructed in two days and from this point internal and external work progressed collectively.
The overall build time was 19 days, the extension was complete and ready for decorating and floor covering to be laid.
The full height vaulted ceiling, bifold doors and large window all produced a bright and airy room with a feeling of space beyond the size of the floor plan.
With a lounge now facing the sun, a relaxing room has been created with plenty of space to entertain family and friends.
3.0m x 3.m Lounge Extension
This extension in Nailsea was constructed with NEO wall panels and the NEO Livin roof. The external walls were finished with Pearl Grey Hardie Plank and the roof with Anthracite Gey panels with a blue tint glass sealed unit.
The extension was built from the boundary to just within the kitchen window with a 3 meter projection.
As this was a terraced house the use of an off-site manufactured extension including a steel base was ideal for this particular build. All the components were easily carried through the house and with minimum foundations required for the base only a small amount of spoil had be taken out. The new drain and base was completed within three days and two days later the walls were up and the roof was on so work started inside and out.
The overall build time was 15 days including the internal partition, toilet and wash basin being installed. It was then ready for decoration and floor covering to be laid.
This simple but very effective extension transformed the way this family used the their home. The two young children have plenty of extra space where mom and dad could easily keep an eye on them. The ground floor toilet meant no more dashing up stairs and the double doors created a seamless transition from the lounge into the garden.
